An 83-year-old died in an accident involving a truck and an SUV in East Brainerd last night.
The accident happened in the 9300 block of East Brainerd Road around 7 p.m.
The first vehicle was a 1985 Toyota truck traveling eastbound on East Brainerd Road and operated by 19-year-old Christopher Denton. The second vehicle was a 2006 Jeep Cherokee traveling westbound operated by 83-year-old Howard Taylor.
Denton was transported by Life Force to a hospital due to injuries he sustained in the crash. Taylor was pronounced dead at the scene.
