Former Calhoun (Ga.) High School and University of Georgia receiver Kris Durham flew to Seattle on Monday afternoon after learning that the National Football League’s lockout was over.
Durham was selected by the Seahawks in the fourth round of April’s NFL draft and had played the waiting game ever since. That wait is now over, and Durham is scheduled to participate in his first practice Wednesday.
“I basically saw it on TV this morning,” Durham said. “I talked to my receiver coach [Kippy Brown] and got an email from Coach [Pete] Carroll, so that’s pretty much how I’ve been in communication with them.
“It’s very exciting. I’m just ready to get out there and get to work.”
