Steven Fox won the U.S. Amateur and the Havemeyer Trophy.
Those helped University of Tennessee at Chattanooga golf coach Mark Guhne sign the most-decoracted procpect in his eight-year career.
Ewan Scott, who won the Scottish Golf Union boys’ order of merit, will join the Mocs next fall.
“People were talking about how much Fox’s win would help in recruiting, but I was thinking down the line,” Guhne said. “It helped a tremendous amount in landing Ewan.”
Scott won the Scottish order of merit with 775 points — which was 130 points better than the runner-up — played in the Dunhill Links Championship, and qualified for the British Amateur.
