Over 800 apply for McKee jobs
A job fair this week for McKee Foods Corp. drew more than 800 applicants seeking jobs at the Collegedale bakery.
Lindsay Hunter, manager of operations for HTI which conducted the job fair, said the jobs, which start at $13.80 per hour, drew a healthy response of good qualified job seekers.
“The job market is competitive, but we were pleased with the quantity and quality of the applicants,” she said.
Mike Gloekler, communications manager for McKee, said the positions are unique in that they are regular jobs starting on a temporary schedule.
