A 46-year-old motorcyclist was killed when he drove into a median, swerved into incoming traffic and crashed into an SUV on APD 40 in Cleveland on New Year’s Eve.

Police believe alcohol and speed may have played a role in the crash, which killed Cleveland resident Charles Braddam.

The crash happened around 9:30 p.m. on New Year’s Eve, according to Cleveland police. Investigators say Braddam crossed into incoming traffic on APD 40 at Overhead Bridge Road.

He was struck by a 2002 Ford Explorer driven by 54-year-old Tim Massengill.

Massengill has not been charged. Police said Friday that the investigation into the crash is ongoing.
