Avant-art, Hunter Museum of American Art’s organization of young-minded people who want to make art accessible to the community, will host its third annual fundraiser at 8 p.m. on Friday night.
“Hunter Underground,” to be held in the museum’s basement, will showcase 30 artworks from local and regional galleries in a silent auction format.
“Nothing is priced more than $500 and the majority of pieces are $150 or less,” said Austin Center, chairman of Avant-art. “The artists represented and the artworks we have are an unbelievable assortment and its’ a great opportunity to acquire a wonderful piece of art.”
