Over the years, Girl Scout cookies have seen many failed flavors, including “Snaps,” an iced oatmeal raisin cookie; “Kookaburras,” made with crispy rice, caramel and chocolate; and “Golden Yangles,” which were actually cheddar cheese crackers.
Today, among the seven surviving flavors, the “Thin Mint” cookie reigns supreme, bringing in about $175 million of the $700 million generated each year from Girl Scout cookies sales.
