Philip Jurick helped Chattanooga State coach Jay Price record his 100th college win earlier this season.
After the game, Jurick popped into his coach’s office, opened his gym bag and presented Price with a foil-topped bottle of Welch’s Sparkling Grape Juice.
A toast ensued.
“He did that for a couple of wins,” Price said Friday night after the TIgers lost 95-90 to Southwest Tennessee. “I could use some of that sparkling juice again soon.”
Perhaps Jurick will make a similar gesture should University of Tennessee at Chattanooga coach John Shulman have a historic victory next season.
