Award-winning comedian Jerry Harvey will return to Dalton Distillery for Comedy & Moonshine Night at 8 p.m. Saturday, May 28, along with the 2016 winner of Chattanooga’s World Cup Series of Comedy, Moody Molavi.
“A regular at The Comedy Catch in Chattanooga, Jerry Harvey was the first comedian to work the room at Dalton Distillery this past December,” says Connie Hall-Scott, event planner for the distillery. “It was a sold-out event, and many people have since requested his return. We’re excited to welcome him back.”
The host of “The Nth Degree” on WGOW-FM 102.3, Harvey is working on an upcoming television show being shot in Atlanta called “Queer Comedy Jam.” He won the Southern Funniest People Search V in 2010 and made it to the semifinals in Las Vegas’ World Series of Comedy in 2012. Advocate Magazine recently placed him among the Top 8 up-and-coming comics in the nation. He has performed with Killer Beaz, John Wesley Austin, Aida Rodriguez, Dean Napolitano, Landry, Anthony Padilla and Jen Kober.
Opening for Harvey will be Moody Molavi, who derives much of his comedy from his unique life experiences as an Iranian Southern Baptist. Known as “Uncle Daddy,” the Chattanooga-based comedian has developed a large regional following.
Charbucks Mobile food truck of Rome, Ga., will offer a variety of dinner and snack options, brought straight to the table by distillery servers.
Comedy & Moonshine Night takes place every second and fourth Saturday at Dalton Distillery. Tickets, priced at $15, can be picked up in advance at Dalton Distillery, 109 E. Morris St. Tickets will also be sold on the night of the show at the door. Each ticket comes with three complimentary house drinks. For more information, call 706-275-4416 or 706-483-2790.
