Host Pensacola treated Chattanooga starting pitcher Greg Peavey rudely, scoring six runs in just 1 1/3 innings on the way to an 8-4 Southern League baseball victory Tuesday night.

Juan Duran opened the scoring with a two-run triple off Peavey (6-5) and later added a sacrifice fly, one of three sac flies on the night for the Blue Wahoos (54-65).

The Lookouts (65-52) tried to rally with three runs in the third off Pensacola starter Daniel Wright (9-9). Niko Goodrum led off with his fifth homer of the season and Max Kepler added a single for his 56th and 57th RBIs. Stuart Turner later added a sacrifice fly, but Beau Amaral’s two-run homer gave the Wahoos breathing room.

Game two of the five-game series in Pensacola is tonight at 7:30 EDT. Brett Lee (4-4, 3.45 ERA) is scheduled to start on the mound for the Lookouts, with Sal Romano (0-1, 10.00) scheduled for the Blue Wahoos.
