Re-elect County Trustee Carl Levi

There are two very fine gentlemen running for the office of Hamilton County trustee in the May 4 Republican primary election. They are County Trustee Carl Levi, who is seeking deserved re-election, and County Commissioner Bill Hullander, who has been a good commissioner but is not seeking re-election to that office.

(There is no candidate for trustee in the Democrat primary election on the same day.)

It is too bad that both Mr. Levi and Mr. Hullander cannot be elected. But Mr. Levi’s record of excellent, reliable and conscientious service as county trustee, his previous good record for many years as Chattanooga’s city treasurer and his good character surely recommend Trustee Levi to be re-elected to continue his efficient service in his present office.

Mr. Levi knows his job as county trustee well, performs it well and deserves enthusiastic re-election on his record of long, faithful and excellent service.

He was named “Tennessee Trustee of the Year” in 2009, “Outstanding Trustee” in 2006 and “East Tennessee Trustee of the Year” in 2005 and 2006.

Mr. Levi also has a long record of good military service as a brigadier general in the Tennessee National Guard.

He has provided outstanding leadership for many years as the volunteer chairman of our community’s Armed Services Day observances each May.

Having had long and admirable service as county trustee, Carl Levi’s good record recommends him for re-nomination and re-election as Hamilton County trustee in 2010.
