The driver involved in a single vehicle crash this morning has been pronounced dead.
Chattanooga Police responded to the single vehicle crash at 1300 Gunbarrel Road at Elaine Trail this morning, said a police’s spokeswoman Rebecca Royval
Harold Johns, 78, was driving a Chevy Malibu and traveling North on Gunbarrel Road. When his car swerved off the road it hit a garbage can and ended up a storm drain, Officer Royval said.
Mr. Johns was transported to Erlanger where he was pronounced dead of an apparent heart attack, she said.
