UPDATE: The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office conducted an investigation and found no evidence to support the Feb. 1, kidnapping allegation. The incident has been determined to be unfounded.

The HCSO says it did not issue an Amber Alert since at the time deputies took the initial report, the reported victim was at home and unharmed, and so the incident did not warrant an Amber Alert or an Endangered Child Alert as determined by the TBI.
