The Fine Arts Department and Drama Club at Chattanooga State Community College will present a Performing Arts Festival and Arts Extravaganza at 5 p.m. today on campus, 4501 Amnicola Highway.
The festival will feature street performers, musicians, singers, dancers and actors. There will also be plenty of games with prizes and other activities for children and adults.
Items, including rare pieces of art, season tickets to theaters and music/dance lessons, will be auctioned off, with proceeds to benefit the Arts & Education Council.
At 7:30, the Fine Arts Department will present its annual Arts Extravaganza in the Humanities Theatre with selections of music, dance and theater performances presented this past school year, including numbers from “Little Women” and “The Drowsy Chaperone.” Student art will be displayed in the lobby of the theater.
Admission to the Festival and Extravaganza is free, though there is a nominal charge for games and food.
