For new business owners and executives, the Tennessee Department of Revenue is holding a free tax workshop in Chattanooga from 8:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. on July 13.
The workshops are designed to assist those dealing with business-related taxes for the first time.
Tax specialists from various local and state agencies will provide the basic information needed to comply with registration and tax requirements.
The Chattanooga workshop will be conducted at the department’s Chattanooga regional office, located at 1301 Riverfront Parkway.
Attendees can ask questions and receive materials explaining their tax responsibilities. Areas of discussion will include business tax, sales and use tax and tax enforcement procedures.
