As warmer weather hits Chattanooga, Harrison’s favorite lakeside restaurant, Dockside Cafe, has returned with it.
And hopefully, said owner Sam Welton, this will be the last winter the cafe will shut its doors.
“We used to close because we weren’t able to keep the building warm enough. Before our remodel last May, we just couldn’t keep the place warm,” he said.
But now, coupled with a more established customer base which voiced disappointment that the restaurant closed this past winter, Welton said he is happy to keep the doors open year-round.
Located at 8411 Harrison Bay Road, the business has become well-known for its waterfront location and quality comfort food staples, like Dockside’s burgers, hushpuppies and Friday night all-you-can-eat catfish meal.
