As we get into the swing of 2014, leaders in the Signal Mountain community are looking at ways to improve themselves as well as the town. We asked a variety of Signal Mountain leaders to share their resolutions for the new year.
Signal Mountain Librarian Karin Glendenning said she resolves to walk more, improve her French and be more mindful.
“My resolution is to continue being mindful of balancing my responsibilities as a husband and father with those of leading our wonderful school,” said Nolan Elementary principal Dr. Shane Harwood. “The great comfort I have in this resolution lies with having an extraordinary wife and such wonderful teachers, parents and community members as supporters.”
Signal Mountain Town Councilwoman Susan Robertson said she resolves to continue to work closely with her colleagues on the Town Council in the best interests of the residents of the Town, as well as to lose 10 pounds (again).
“My resolutions are to keep in touch with old friends better and to start composting,” said Signal Mountain Town Councilwoman Annette Allen.
Signal Mountain Mayor Bill Lusk resolves to (jokingly) swear off politics, quit smoking, retire (quit playing with trucks), downsize and get our road up the mountain fixed.
