My 81-year-old neighbor, Buster Kidwell, lives alone in Birchwood. The only time he has a visitor is once a month his son takes him to the grocery store. He cannot read or write.
Several weeks ago he was found lying on the driveway when it was raining and very cold. He was unable to help my friend and me to get him up, so 911 was called. Buster spent a week in the hospital. A ramp was needed to allow Buster to return to his home.
Jim Lovell, a neighbor, called his friend Ronnie Hickman, a contractor, and they came over to see how they could help. Materials were ordered and delivered the next morning. Jim and Ronnie built the ramp onto the deck. This will allow Buster to go outside when he gets well.
I would like to say thank you, Jim and Ronnie, for your kindness, your time and your expertise in making it possible for Buster to return to his home.
