Homing Effect
When I was young, my eldest brother and sister and I would ruin family vacations by fighting with our parents to stay in the hotel room and watch cartoons. These days, it’s HGTV that delays my daily vacay itineraries, even though I know it will be there when I get back to the room.
A homeowner now myself, I love seeing the creativity and results displayed on shows like “Fixer Upper” and “Design on a Dime.” Imagining updates and changes to my own home is one of my favorite things to do. The actual work, however, holds less luster.
This month’s issue of Chatter is dedicated to both the dreamers and the doers, whether your tastes and propensities trend more toward HGTV’s “Flea Market Flip” or Bravo’s “Million Dollar Listing.” Here’s to dreaming. And doing.
