Invista’s Chattanooga manufacturing facility has earned the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 14001 certification for environmental management systems. The certification is an internationally recognized standard that provides assurances that a company is effectively managing its environmental responsibilities.

“The ISO 14001 certification is a testament to our employees’ strong commitment to environmental stewardship,” Invista Site Manager Chris Lorge said. “At Invista, we strive for 10,000 percent compliance, which means 100 percent of our employees complying with safety and environmental requirements and regulations 100 percent of the time. This particular ISO certification is especially important for the automotive industry, which our site’s products support.

The 400-acre Hixson plant, originally built and operated for most of its 75-year history by Dupont, manufactures nylon fiber for applications in military apparel, backpacks, and soft-sided luggage.
