A former employee has been indicted and arrested after investigators said she stole more than $200,000 from her employer, Sequatchie Concrete Services.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said in a news release that Debra Hughes, 41, was indicted Feb. 6 on one count of theft over $60,000.

The TBI said it began investigating at the request of 12th District Attorney General Michael Taylor in April 2016.

TBI agents developed information that Hughes allegedly stole more than $200,000 between 2012 and 2015, the release stated. Hughes was arrested Saturday and booked into the Marion County Jail on a $20,000 bond.
