The last person suspected in connection with a downtown kidnapping last week is in custody, according to police.
Chattanooga police arrested Quintez “Tez” Bulloch, 21, about 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, police spokeswoman Rebecca Royvals said.
He was charged with aggravated robbery and conspiracy to commit aggravated kidnapping. His Hamilton County General Sessions Court date is Sept. 28.
Police already have charged four people in the case. All of those arrested have gang affiliations, police said.
Christopher Turner, 19; Jeffery McClendon Jr., 19; Twain Jackson, 20; and a 17-year-old male are scheduled to appear in Hamilton County General Sessions Court on Tuesday on charges of aggravated kidnapping, aggravated robbery, conspiracy to commit aggravated kidnapping and conspiracy to commit aggravated robbery, according to a police news release.
Mychael Chunn, 19, told police that he was walking toward his car on Aug. 25 after leaving work at Buffalo Wild Wings on Market Street when three men rushed him and robbed him. The men forced him into the trunk of his car and drove him to several locations, one of which was his Mountain Creek Road home, Chunn said.
He said they ransacked his home and drove to several pawn shops to sell the stolen property before turning Chunn loose in an alley behind 2204 Bailey Ave.
Turner, Mclendon, Jackson and the juvenile also have been charged in another downtown kidnapping on Aug. 28. The victim in that case, Joseph Clark, escaped the trunk when the vehicle stopped, police said.
The suspects went to Clark’s apartment complex, kicked down his neighbor’s door and assaulted William Wan and Weiran Yang while ransacking their apartment.
