A slow-moving warm front is pushing rain through the Tennessee Valley this morning. While there won’t be any severe weather, the area will get 1.5 to 2 inches of rain today.

During your commute that could lead to ponding on the roads and localized street flooding. It also doesn’t take much more than a thin layer of water on the road to cause your car to hydroplane so please go slow as you are out traveling today.

Temps this morning are in the 40s so we will not have any wintry weather with this system. The rain will be pretty steady through early afternoon, then the showers will become more scattered by late afternoon into tonight. Highs this afternoon will reach the low to mid-50s.
