The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office has received a $49,000 grant from the Governor’s Highway Safety Office to remove impaired and drunken drivers from the roads, according to a news release.

The sheriff’s office will place more vehicles and deputies on patrol during the hours when most impaired or drunken drivers are on the roads.

Deputies will patrol throughout the county, including unicorporated areas, to seek those driving impaired, the release reads.
