Local Campbell Station Band is basking in the glow of its recent performance at Riverbend on the Chevy Stage on the festival’s first night.
The band guitarist Seth Ferguson, of LaFayette, and co-lead singers Campbell Ross, of Signal Mountain, and Elaina Conner, of LaFayette, all live in Nashville now to pursue their dream of making it in the music business. The trio said performing at Riverbend for the first time was an exciting step in that journey.
“In January of 2015 the band began,” said Ross. “I was friends with Elaina because I used to work at Sony with her. Elaina introduced me to Seth at a restaurant. We realized our talents would work well together. I’ve never met anyone that can harmonize and match with me like Elaina.”
Ross said the bandmates put their own spin on what they want country music to sound like.
