Tennessee and Delaware are the two big winners who will receive a portion of the $4.35 billion Race to the Top money, the Associated Press reported.
Tennessee’s application requested $501 million of the federal stimulus money. Earlier this month, state officials made their case before the U.S. Department of Education for why the state should win the funds.
The official announcement will come out of Washington today at 1 p.m.
