Sarah Land was enjoying a bonfire Friday night when she received an unexpected phone call.
It was Jeff Epperson, owner of the Classic Blades weapons store in Fort Oglethorpe, she said. He was calling Land, who rents the building next to him, to tell her a vehicle had just hit a back wall of the business.
“I expected a small dent,” she said.
But when she arrived about 7:15 p.m., she said the scene was “unbelievable.”
Several emergency vehicles were near the building, and a hole gaped several feet wide and high in the wall.
