Accused double-murderer Howard Hawk Willis is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday in front of Hamilton County Special Judge Jon Kerry Blackwood, according to the Washington County Circuit Court Clerk’s Office.
Deputy Clerk Tammy Tipton said the clerk’s office was notified by Susan Jones, the death penalty specialist assigned to Willis’ case by the Administrative Office of the Courts, to notify all the parties involved in the case and the media about the special setting.
Judge Lynn Brown recused himself from Willis’ case earlier this month after Willis filed a $2 million federal lawsuit against him.
