The Country Thunder Band will play the after-party for the sixth annual Chattanooga Mud Run, which has transformed Greenway Farms, 5051 Gann Store Road in Hixson, into a 5K muddy, military-style obstacle race course.

The race will start at 7:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, with some 2,500 participants expected to navigate climb walls, underground tunnels and the notorious 1,500-square-foot Mud Pit. Two heats, competive and noncompetive, make the course accessible to all comers (ages 14 and older).

Cost to enter is $250 for a team of five, $60 for individuals. Proceeds benefit Habitat for Humanity of Greater Chattanooga Area.

The after-party, which is free and open to all, will be from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Food and beverages (including beer) will be available for purchase from Milk & Honey, Lupi’s Pizza, Good Dog, Moss’s Place and Kona Ice.
