The third passenger rail meeting will take place April 28, in the Chattanooga Choo Choo Imperial Ballroom at 5:30 p.m. For more information about the study and specifics of each proposal, visit chattanooga.gov/rail. Over the next several months, Chattanoogans have the opportunity to influence the future of rail development across the city.

Following the second of three passenger rail study meetings, Chattanooga Department of Transportation officials are asking the community to vote on one of three public transit expansion possibilities and suggest any changes to the proposed routes.

They all focus on transportation across the downtown area as well as around the airport and Enterprise South, but each of the three options has a clear primary benefit.

Alternative 1 allows for maximum infrastructure reuse; Alternative 2 provides for transit to economically developing and thriving areas; and Alternative 3 allows for the most mobility and stop options across the city.
