Hamilton County Trustee Bill Hullander is reminding residents 2014 property taxes are due by 1 p.m. Saturday, regardless of bad weather.
Taxes paid after that deadline will face penalties and interest, according to Hullander’s office.
Trustee offices at Room 210 of the Hamilton County Courthouse, 625 Georgia Ave., and 6125 Preservation Drive will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. today and Friday, weather permitting. On Saturday, the offices will be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Taxes may also be paid during normal banking hours with the original property tax bills at all of the area First Tennessee Bank branches, online at www.hamiltontn.gov/trustee, or with a check mailed to P.O. Box 11047, Chattanooga, TN 37401.
