Tennessee Regulatory Authority has picked 18 Tennesseans for the state’s new 2-1-1 Advisory Council.
The panel will advise the TRA in setting statewide standards to ensure all Tennesseans are served by an efficient and effective 2-1-1 service. Created in 2004, 2-1-1 is a single phone number that provides easy access to information on public services for residents.
Local people picked are John Hayes, United Way of Greater Chattanooga director; Tom Edd Wilson, CEO of the Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce; and Alton Chapman, Inner City Ministries executive director.
