The Chickamauga Public Library is more than just a place to find books, according to its new manager.
“It’s not just a library, it’s a community center,” said newly appointed manager Renee Roeder. “It’s amazing how many people of all different ages come in here.”
She replaces retired manager Bobbie Abernathy.
Originally from Massachusetts, Roeder has lived in Chickamauga for 31/2 years and was hired in 2010 as youth coordinator for the Chickamauga library.
“Renee is found to be quick to action,” said Cherokee Regional Library Director Lecia Eubanks. “She has great ideas and hopes for the library and is working hard to make them come true.”
