Man, 24, killed in traffic wreck
One man died and another was hospitalized Thursday when their car left U.S. Highway 27 and crashed into trees, Chattanooga police said.
Dwight Parris was driving his Nissan 300ZX north at a “high rate of speed” near the 260 mile marker when the car slid sideways, went down an embankment and struck several trees, according to a news release.
Parris was thrown from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
Jaryd Parris, 22, the driver’s brother, was taken to Erlanger hospital where he was listed in critical condition Friday.
