A man was treated for injuries after about a half-dozen men assaulted him Thursday, authorities said.
Chattanooga police responded to reports of an assault in the 2800 block of Broad Street about 5:27 a.m. a news release said.
Elbert Zeigler told police he was walking to work when about six black men jumped out of an unknown vehicle and took turns hitting and kicking him, the release said.
After the attackers drove off, Zeigler walked to 400 E. 11th St. and called police, the release said. He was taken to Erlanger for treatment. Zeigler had multiple abrasions to his face and hands, the news release said.
Zeigler did not get a good look at the attackers, and the police have limited suspect information with no leads or witnesses, the news release said.
