An Estill Springs man was sentenced Wednesday in Chattanooga to 51 months in prison and a $25,000 fine for possession of child pornography, according to a news release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
The release said Mark Carlton Bryant, 66, a retired U.S. Air Force lieutenant colonel, will also forfeit his electronic equipment and be on probation for five years after pleading guilty to one count of possessing child pornography.
“This case is a good example of local and federal agencies working together to protect children, our most vulnerable victims,” U.S. Attorney J. Douglas Overbey said in the release.
The case was investigated by the Winchester Police Department and the FBI.
