TNReady testing begins statewide today
Statewide assessments, or TNReady, officially begins Monday for students across the state.
TNReady, part of the Tennessee Comprehensive Assessment Program (TCAP), has proven controversial after years of fiascoes with the state’s current testing vendor, Questar.
The early window began on April 8 and more than 22,000 tests have been completed successfully, said Tennessee Education Commissioner Penny Schwinn in a press call last week.
“When we think about it, over the next four weeks, the state will administer more than 2 million assessments,” Schwinn said. “Overall, we have seen the platform work as we would expect it to and as it should.”
