Little Debbie Parkway at Apison Pike will be closed overnight Friday and Saturday for construction, the Tennessee Department of Transportation says.

The contractor working on widening and improving Apison Pike will close Little Debbie Parkway between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. both nights to raise the roadway profile to match the new Apison Pike level, said Jennifer Flynn, local TDOT spokeswoman.

Apison Pike will remain open to through traffic in this area; however, there will be no access to or from Little Debbie Parkway via Apison Pike during these nighttime closures.

Message boards and detour signs will alert motorists to the closure and alternate routes. The contractor may have short-term lane closures to perform various operations on an as-needed basis. Flaggers will assist with traffic control as needed.
