The COVID-19 pandemic has been devastating for the arts, culture, and the creative community. We can’t get together for concerts, or even for lessons.

An analysis by the Brookings Institute estimated the creative industry lost 2.7 million jobs and more than $150 billion in sales of goods and services nationwide

The fine and performing arts industries will be hit hardest, the analysis found. The analysis estimated the South will suffer the most losses in employment for both the creative industries and creative occupations.

This is the story of three local people working in the arts and how they’ve had to adapt and change how they do their jobs. They’ve learned new things and sometimes even found inspiration.
