Your Tuesday at a glance:

Good morning, Chattanooga!

Nowadays, anytime we feature a specific local musical artist in the Times Free Press, I try to take some time to sit down and listen to a few tracks from their repertoire.

This weekend, our entertainment/life reporter Barry Courter wrote about Jerod “Swayyvo” Morton who just released his first solo album “Sounds in My Own Words”.

The saxophonist, whose music has been used by NBA.com and for local ads for the Tennessee Valley Federal Credit union, said he strives for a unique sound.

“It’s my very first instrumental project,” he said. “People have been wondering why I haven’t done it before, but I wanted to do it in my own way. I don’t want to be compared to anyone else.”

Here read about his upcoming debut events, his collaborations and what you can expect from his album. It’s been great background music for work so far.

Now for some recent stories:

REMEMBER WHEN, CHATTANOOGA?: The year 1975 marked a turning point for the Hunter Museum of Art, seen in this 46-year-old photo.

THE FINAL STRETCH: These are the five final Hamilton County Schools superintendent candidates.

IT’S GOING DOWN: COVID-19 cases are continuing to drop in Hamilton County Schools.
