GATORS REPORT
Florida has been led so far this season by a trio of seniors with more than 200 career starts in Allen, Hayes and Hudson. Defense has been the team’s calling card, with the Gators having forced nearly 17 turnovers per game and leading the SEC in scoring defense, having allowed only 60 points per contest. Only Florida State and South Carolina have topped 70 points this season against Florida.
KEY MATCHUP
Tennessee has seen a lot of different looks, but the Gators start four guards, which could help them as they try to attack the Volunteers off the dribble but could hurt them as they attempt to guard Tennessee’s size. Teams will make it a point to attack Williams and try to get him in foul trouble and Florida likely will be no different, but if the Vols can manage that and attack in their own right, their size could wear the Gators down tonight.
