After four months of development, construction on the Wolftever Crossing retail center in Ooltewah is finally complete, and its tenants will soon be open for business.
The two-building retail center, which sits on 1.7 acres off Old Lee Highway near Little Debbie Parkway, will soon become home to an American Family Care walk-in clinic in one building, and an AT&T, Firehouse Subs, Salsarita’s Fresh Cantina and Supercuts in the other. All are expected to open throughout the next four to five months.
Developer Bassam Issa, owner of the Ant Group, said the incoming businesses are a testament to the area’s growth. In 2002, Issa struggled to find retailers to move their businesses to the Ooltewah area, but now, he said, retailers on a local, regional and national level think there’s a large enough demographic to build there.
“The growth of Ooltewah, especially at that exit, has come to be monumental in a very, very short time,” Issa said.
