The seventh installment of the Manifest showcase will feature a poetry slam tonight at The Camp House, 1427 Williams St.
A poetry slam is where participating poets compete against one another for the highest scores from judges. In this themed slam, poets will perform their best three-minute poems dealing with love – or how much they hate it.
Poets can sign up on-site starting at 8 p.m. The slam will begin at 9. Christian J. Collier will serve as the slam master.
Admission is $5 for poets who will be competing, $8 for everyone else. For more information, email thespeakeasypoetry@gmail.com.
