Friends of Special Children, an organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the lives of local children with disabilities, is taking its 15th annual fundraising event and auction for Signal Centers online this year due to the coronavirus pandemic. This year’s event, called “Helping Our Children Thrive,” will be held live on the Friends of Special Children Facebook page this Thursday from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Leading up to the livestream event, an online auction offers more than 100 items, including a large-screen TV and Apple Watch.
