To do Sunday

Depending on your tolerance level, we’d prescribe a day of rest to recover from the pre-Christmas hustle and bustle – or perhaps another round of hustle and bustle as retailers begin their after-Christmas sales.

Although individual store hours may vary, area malls appear to be shifting back to normal hours. Sunday hours are noon-6 p.m. at Hamilton Place and Northgate in Chattanooga, Bradley Square Mall in Cleveland, Tennessee, and Dalton Mall in Dalton, Georgia.

Walmart’s 24-hour locations are expected to reopen at 6 a.m. Sunday. Retailers such as Target and Kohl’s also are expected to resume normal hours, which vary by location.

At the end of the week, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day will mean more changes to the schedule for many retailers.
