COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – Two more houses in Columbia will be dedicated Thursday as part of a project to rehabilitate an inner-city neighborhood.
It’s a cooperative effort among churches, businesses and government called “People Helping People Together.”
The dedication Thursday will raise the number of rehabilitated homes to seven since 2008. Five churches, four civic/nonprofit groups, seven businesses and four government entities are involved.
First Farmers bank has provided seed money for the project and the Tennessee Housing Development Agency has also helped with financing.
