INDEPENDENCE, Ohio (AP) – LeBron James says he’s keeping with his tradition of not using his cellphone or interacting on social media during the playoffs.

James has tried to block out distractions in the postseason since 2012, saying “there’s too much nonsense out there.” James said he was unaware of comments made Monday by Heat president Pat Riley, who seemed to be referring to Cleveland’s star when he said it would be easier to prepare for this year’s draft because there are “no more smiling faces with hidden agendas.”

James returned to the Cavs last summer after four seasons with Miami.

He playfully thanked media members for keeping him apprised of what’s going on in the outside world during the postseason. After his media availability ended following the team’s shootaround before Tuesday’s Game 2 against Boston, James pulled a reporter aside to find out what Riley said.
