Local leaders take the Dunked plunge for charity

Chattanooga Friends is presenting its signature event, Dunked, which puts local business leaders and celebrities in the dunk tank at risk of taking a plunge.

The event will be held from 11:15 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Miller Plaza, M.L. King Boulevard at Cherry and Market streets.

For $5, spectators can buy three balls to throw at the participant of their choice.

Among those taking their chances in the tank are city Councilman Manny Rico, Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce’s Rob Bradham and TVA’s Dan Traynor

Proceeds benefit the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Chattanooga, Chambliss Home/Children’s Shelter and Chattanooga Friends, a nonprofit whose members mix and mingle for philanthropic causes.

To donate before the event, go to dunked.chattfriends.com and select from the participant list on the right-hand side of the page.
