Organizers of World of Wheels always promise cars and stars. For the 49th edition of the custom auto show, they’re delivering 100,000 square feet of exhibition space, celebrity auto experts, a Disney star and a “Dukes of Hazzard” reunion.
What has been described as “the Super Bowl of car shows” will gather a wide variety of custom cars, trucks and motorcycles within the Chattanooga Convention Center, along with restored and antique vehicles and dozens of automotive vendors.
Awards totaling $8,300 will be presented to exhibitors in categories including Best Restored, Truck, Rod, Custom, Street Machine, Bike and Club Display. The largest prize, the Bill Croft Memorial Award, is worth $2,500 to the best vehicle shown in Chattanooga for the first time.
The show will run Friday through Sunday, Jan. 6-8, with some guests and features available all three days.
