The Montlake Road trailhead for the North Chickamauga Creek Gorge State Natural Area will be closed today and Thursday.
Maintenance workers will conduct routine maintenance on the trailhead’s driving and parking areas, a Tennessee Department of Environment spokesperson said.
The trailhead is a popular entrance to an area of the Cumberland Trail commonly referred to as the pocket wilderness.
Visitors to the natural area can use the Flipper Bend Trailhead parking area at the intersection of Hixson Springs Road and Standing Rock Road.
